A summary
Inclusive SEND swim lessons tailored to meet individual needs. Our specialist swimming sessions are thoughtfully designed to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Each lesson is led by two experienced specialist teachers, ensuring a high level of individual attention and care. We teach in small groups to create a calm, supportive, and structured learning environment where swimmers can build confidence at their own pace. Lessons focus on water confidence, safety skills, stroke development, and enjoyment, with personalised teaching approaches to meet each swimmer’s unique strengths and needs. Our aim is to provide a safe, nurturing space where every child feels valued, supported, and able to succeed in the water. There is a cost of £7.50 per lesson - payable via monthly direct debit. About your mentor
Turtle Tots Halton
Promoting inclusion in swimming.
Jen joined Turtle Tots in the summer of 2021, bringing with her valuable experience supporting young adults and children with learning disabilities to access social opportunities and education. She is passionate about helping children build water confidence and develop essential safety skills while learning to swim in a fully inclusive and supportive environment. Jen has also partnered with Halton Borough Council to deliver inclusive swimming lessons, reflecting her strong belief that swimming should be accessible to all. Inclusivity is at the heart of everything she does, and she is committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive in the water. Jen’s greatest joy comes from seeing children happy, engaged, and, most importantly, having fun as they learn. She currently teaches at Hale and Haydock. After two successful years teaching under another franchise owner, Jen took the plunge and purchased her own franchise. She is excited about the future and looks forward to embracing the opportunities and challenges this new chapter will bring.
Tuesday's 5.00pm - 8.00pm
Sessions run in half-hour slots on Tuesdays during term time, operating for 35 weeks of the year. Sessions are charged at £7.50 per lesson, payable via monthly direct debit. We teach in small groups to create a calm, supportive, and structured learning environment where swimmers can build confidence at their own pace.
