What we'll do
At our Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre Holiday Activity and Food Program, we offer a wide range of experiences that give young people the opportunity to learn new skills, build resilience, and challenge themselves in a safe and supportive environment— all within the beautiful surroundings of Horseshoe Lake. Each day consists of two 90-minute activity sessions. Typically, this includes one water-based session and one land-based session, but when the weather is ideal, we often run two water-based sessions instead. Activities may include: Paddle-Boarding Canoeing Sailing Kayaking Raft building Rock climbing Aeroball Team challenge Our aim is to ensure that all young people have the chance to try something new, push their boundaries, and grow in confidence—while staying safe and supported at all times.

Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre offers Multi Activity Days, Canoeing, Dinghy Sailing, Kayaking, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Dragon Boating, Raft Building, Bushcraft, Orienteering, Climbing, Fire lighting/shelter building and much more. Our excellent facilities provide a fun, safe and educational experience for all. Outdoor activities encourage fitness, discipline, development, confidence and team work - offering the chance to embrace the challenge and HAVE A GO! Fun sessions for everyone - learning through leisure! Enjoyable activities that promote a sense of achievement.

I have a real passion for the Half Program and I’m a strong advocate for the outdoors. I believe that being outside brings out the best in all of us, and that every challenge we take on only helps us grow. You just can’t beat an outdoor classroom. Whether people come to us simply for fun or to try something new, there’s always an opportunity to learn. Our aim as a centre is to make learning on the water accessible to everyone. We’re here to help build teamwork, communication, resilience, and confidence — all while improving social interaction through shared adventure.
