What we'll do
At Honeycroft Summer Holiday Club, we’re really excited to be running our HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme throughout the summer. It’s all about creating a fun and welcoming space where children can enjoy their holidays, try new things, and make happy memories with friends. This summer, our days will be full of variety, adventure, and plenty of time to explore. A big focus for us is getting children outdoors as much as possible. We’ll be going on a range of different trips, exploring local spaces, and enjoying plenty of fresh air through games, challenges, and outdoor activities. As part of our trips, children will also have the opportunity to use public transport such as buses and trains, helping them learn about travel in a safe and supported way. This gives them valuable real-world experience, builds independence, and helps them feel more confident when travelling in their community. Back at Honeycroft, children will also have access to our own private garden space. This gives us a safe and secure outdoor area where they can play, relax, and enjoy structured activities in the fresh air every day. It’s a lovely extension of our indoor setting and allows us to bring even more learning and fun outdoors. Inside, there will be lots of creative activities too. Our arts and crafts sessions are always popular, giving children the chance to get hands-on, use their imagination, and proudly take home what they’ve made. Everything is planned so children of all ages and abilities can take part and feel successful. Food is also an important part of our HAF programme. We’ll be running fun food-tasting activities where children can try different flavours and explore new foods in a relaxed and positive way. It’s all about encouraging curiosity and helping them feel more confident trying new things. There will also be plenty of games and group activities, from board games and team challenges to relaxed play, helping children build friendships, and enjoy working together. We’ll also include discos, dance games, and music sessions throughout the summer, which are always a highlight and requested by kids! We are also proud to provide a range of sensory resources to support children with additional needs. Our sensory table and sensory toys are available throughout sessions, offering calming interactive experiences. These resources help support focus, emotional regulation in a way that suits each child’s individual needs. We aim to create an inclusive environment where all children feel comfortable, supported, and able to fully enjoy their time at Honeycroft. Most importantly, we want every child to feel happy and included helping them feel comfortable being themselves. We can’t wait for a summer full of great memories at Honeycroft.

HAF conditions
A few T&Cs from Brighton & Hove City Council: • Eligibility criteria – Brighton & Hove HAF-funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals. • Limits on bookings – Over Summer, EEQU will permit each eligible participant to be booked on to 16 HAF places across all providers in the city. If a session is not attended, HAF places cannot be added back onto an individual’s allocation, regardless of reason. It is therefore important that sessions are cancelled before the activity starts, and ideally, giving a minimum of a few days’ notice where possible to allow other children to benefit. Bookings can be managed by the Booker by logging into EEQU and reviewing their Schedule.
