What we'll do
A holiday camp for 8-14 year olds in Buckfastleigh! A space for young people to have fun and make friends. Each day will begin with an opening circle, and young people will be supported in choosing activities throughout the day that they want to participate in. Activities will include arts and crafts, music, drama, circus skills, board games (and other games!), table tennis, cooking and outdoor play. At the end of the day we will tidy up together, and share our reflections in a closing circle. No two days will be quite the same, as our time together will be shaped by the young peoples' desires and interests. Sign up for one day, or several! Holidays Together is being co-created by Moor Imagination Collective and Maverick Learning Community. Experienced facilitators will hold a rights-respecting space which honours young peoples' autonomy and celebrates their curiosity and joy. Fees for each day are on a self-selecting sliding scale: please pay what you can to help our community thrive. Maverick Learning Community is registered with Ofsted meaning that support with childcare fees is available for families receiving Universal Credit. There are also several HAF funded places available each day for families eligible for free school meals.

Maverick Learning Community is a consent-based, self-directed exploration space for home educated young people aged 8-14. We are co-creating a radical, regenerative community for young people and their families, based at the Moor Imagination Centre in Buckfastleigh, South Devon.
