A summary
A full day of outdoor activities for children aged 6-11 years. A healthy, hot lunch is included as part of the day that we will prepare together. The lunch will be a jacket potato with salad and a choice of baked beans and cheese. Snacks will also be provided throughout the day. When you arrive you will be greeted by our Engagement Officers. We will begin the day with quizzes and games followed by a play on the playscape. Then we will do a variety of activities such as bug hunting, trails, pond dipping and games. You might spot some Chinese water deer, birds, butterflies, dragonflies and other insects during your day. We will explore various parts of the reserve during the day and spend the afternoon with free play in the woods.

The Trust has led local nature conservation efforts in Suffolk for six decades and has saved some of the county's most important wildlife sites as nature reserves. Currently caring for nearly 8000 acres of some of Suffolk's most inspiring wild places. Our nature reserves are open to enjoy whenever you wish, there is no charge - instead we ask you to help us look after them by becoming a member. With our network of nature reserves and engagement centres, the Trust's commitment to learning in nature is unparalleled in Suffolk.
On the day
Children will need to bring warm and waterproof clothing with them in the case of rain or suncream and sun hats in hot weather. Wellies (or another change of shoes) are advised for playing in the woods. Healthy snacks and lunch are provided as part of the day, but please bring a water bottle with them.
