What we'll do
We will deliver a healthy cooking and wellbeing session alongside a karaoke/disco activity. Children will take part in preparing a healthy meal, giving them the opportunity to learn basic food preparation, food hygiene, teamwork and healthy eating skills in a fun and supportive environment. The cooking activity will encourage children to try new foods, explore healthier ingredients, build confidence and develop independence through a practical, hands-on experience. It will also support communication and problem-solving as children follow instructions, work together and complete the activity. The karaoke/disco element will provide opportunities for creativity, self-expression and social interaction through singing, music and dancing. Together, the activities will help children build confidence, friendships, communication skills and emotional wellbeing, while giving them the chance to try new experiences.

Middleport Matters Community Trust
Bringing the community of Middleport together
Middleport Matters Community Trust is a charity located at the heart of the community we serve. Established in 2015, our mission is to empower residents to reach their full potential by providing essential services and support. We create opportunities for people to connect, learn, and grow, addressing some of the key challenges facing our area. Our aim is to build a safe, welcoming, and thriving neighbourhood where people feel connected, supported, and empowered to live fulfilling lives. We are committed to ensuring that all residents, regardless of age or background, have the opportunity to succeed. As part of this, we offer a range of dedicated youth services that provide safe spaces, positive activities, and tailored support for young people. These services are designed to build confidence, develop life skills, and open up opportunities for personal and social growth.
