A summary

Half Term Crafting Fun for the whole family!

What could you create? Using a selection of different cardboard shapes, paint, pens and accessories can you create a mask for either Halloween or maybe make an animal head, a robot, or even a fancy magical bird creature!

You might also want to create your own marble maze, with lots of twists and turns and dead-ends. Do you think your grown-ups would be able to complete your maze?

Lots of fun being creative at the wonderful venue of the National Trust's Dapdune Wharf. We will be using one of their historic buildings for our sessions. This session is suitable for the whole family including pre-schoolers; all equipment, materials, pens, paint, glue will be available for use under supervision. Let's see what you can create as a family.

Afterwards, why not take a look in the book store to see what bargains you can find, and then don't forget a tasty treat in the Tearoom is always a good stop after a session of fun craft making.

Parking is available but can be limited, so if you can share transport or come by public transport that always helps.

Play outdoors & dance like a toddler!

Forest school and early years consultant

I am currently Chair to the Surrey FSA group, and have over 25 years experience working in early years, outdoor education and forest school. I am also the Senior Officer to Woking Sea Rangers voluntary uniformed youth organisation. As well as running a toddler and parent Wharf Weenie sessions at Dapdune Wharf, I can offer support for adults operating forest school in Surrey showing good practice, skill sharing and advice. I'm passionate about storytelling and creativity in the outdoors and as a published author, ("Developing Creativity and Curiosity Outdoors in Early Years" with Routledge publishers) I can see the benefits of running outdoor sessions for those with early years in the beautiful setting of Dapdune Wharf, Guildford.. Most of all I like to sprinkle a little magic and fun!
