A summary
Join Recreate-U for Summertime on the Allotment: a fun-filled summer holiday club where your children can connect with nature, garden and grow, learn relaxation and breathing techniques, and build and craft using natural resources found on our allotment. We will teach your children about growing plants, and they will be able to take home food that they harvest. They will learn new skills, equipping them to become budding gardeners, as well as getting creative, making new friends and having fun. This exclusive program is designed especially for children with SEND. As education and wellbeing specialists, Recreate-U know how important connecting to nature and each other is for improving wellbeing. Things the children will be doing: Trips Gardening Seeding Harvesting Bug searches and building hotels Composting Junk modeling Upcycling Cooking This club will be an all-weathers outdoor club, so it is important to wear suitable clothing and that children don't mind a bit of rain or mud. Children will be getting dirty, so it's important to wear clothes that are ok to come home dirty. We do have a warm, cosy indoor space that we will use if the weather is bad. All sessions come with a sandwich and snack included. All our activities are based on our unique Recreate-U 5 ways to wellbeing. These support children and young people to understand how they can develop and maintain good mental health, feel confident in social situations and develop healthy self-esteem while having fun, playing and creating!

Recreate-U CIC is passionate about helping people learn and grow so that they can achieve their full potential. Based in Salford and operating across Greater Manchester, we were founded in 2020 by qualified, experienced teachers,. We work with children, families and schools in our community to improve wellbeing and educational attainment. We offer a range of educational and wellbeing services, programmes, activities and events to support children, families and the community. These include 1-1 and small-group wellbeing sessions for children and adults, HAF holiday clubs, after-school clubs, primary-age tutoring, language lessons, art and craft sessions and adult social prescribing activities such as our gardening group at the RHS Bridgewater Community Grow.
