A summary

Get ready to journey through time in an unforgettable week of drama, creativity, performance, and adventure! Students will explore different historical eras through acting, movement, arts and crafts, storytelling, theatre workshops, and immersive performance experiences! Whether your child loves performing on stage, creating characters, designing costumes, building props, or making new friends, there’s something for everyone at our Time Travellers Summer School! We are a Theatre and Performance based holiday school, dedicated to engaging a young person's confidence, creativity and imagination in performance. The theme for our Summer School is ‘Time Travellers’. This particular day is centered around all our Key Stages (KS1, 2, 3 &4) coming together and working to create a 'play in a day.' These are hugely popular and parents/family will be invited to return at 3pm to watch the play in a day! All participants will be immersed on an interactive basis into a historical narrative with the goal of learning about a historical event and devising theatre around this. The day will involve lots of fun, games, learning and even outdoor time to allow participants access to Pitchcroft Field. This day provides a strong educational crossover and helps build drama skills for young, imaginative minds. There is dedicated outdoor, lunch time and snack breaks. Students will: - build confidence - develop teamwork and communication skills - make new friends - explore creativity - experience the excitement of performance. Our summer school is designed to be: - inclusive - imaginative - energetic - welcoming to all experience levels. Whether your child is new to drama or already loves the stage, they’ll be encouraged to learn, create, and shine.

Performance For All

Worcester Theatres

Worcester Theatres is a registered charity, and is the main arts provider in Worcester, operating at Huntingdon Hall and the Swan Theatre. The organisation also has a producing arm in the form of the Swan Theatre’s resident professional theatre company, the Worcester Repertory Company, which annually produces: the outdoor Worcester Rep at the Commandery, the hugely popular Swan Theatre pantomime, popular classics and new writing along with touring shows nationally. Worcester Theatres relies significantly on charitable donations to support our operation, including arts grants, funding from our city council, donations from trusts and foundations and other organisations. This together with legacies, fundraising events and our patron’s continued support ensure our operation.
