Viva Gymnastics Club
Viva Gymnastics Club
Viva Gymnastics Club was set up in 2018 to provide gymnastics sessions to children in the Portsmouth area, including those with a variety of disabilities and additional needs who have often found themselves excluded from the sport of gymnastics In 2020, our Club faced the many challenges of the COVID pandemic and continued to provide gymnastics activities to children via Zoom and, when allowed, via outdoor sessions near Southsea Common. The Club and its members supported each other through this difficult time. Our Club is now a registered charity and has the objective of ensuring that disabilities and additional needs are not a barrier to participation in gymnastics. In addition to its growing SEND programme, the Club provides fun and advanced gymnastics sessions for children of all ages and abilities. Our coaches, support staff and volunteers are passionate, kind, supportive and experienced people with a wealth of experience in gymnastics and in special educational teaching. Kindness is at our core.
