What we'll do
We'll make sure your child has a fantastic time, tries new activities and meets new people! Our sports camps are designed to make sure each day is different, fun-filled and safe. We create an environment where new friendships are created, sporting skills are learned and improved and new experiences are cherished. We provide an action packed morning from 08:30-12:30 (including lunch) where the children can take part in many sports like basketball, tag rugby, football, cricket, rounders, athletics, fencing, archery, hockey, ultimate frisbee, team challenges and many more! If you would like your child to stay for more fun in the afternoon from 12:30-15:30, please purchase a paid ticket for £6. A few T&Cs from Brighton & Hove City Council: • Eligibility criteria – Brighton & Hove HAF funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals. • Limits on bookings – Over Summer, Eequ will permit each eligible participant to be booked on to 16 HAF places across all providers in the city with a maximum of one funded session per day. If a session is not attended, HAF places cannot be added back on to an individual’s allocation, regardless of reason. It is therefore important that sessions are cancelled before the activity starts, and ideally giving a minimum of a few days’ notice where possible to allow other children to benefit. Bookings can be managed by the Booker by logging into Eequ and reviewing their Schedule.
About your mentors
SportsCool Brighton
We run memorable activity camps!
I am a teacher of over 15 years experience and have held roles including Head of PE, Director of Sport and Assistant Head at schools in London and abroad. My passion is sport and coaching, I love learning new skills like becoming a level 1 fencing instructor. I have a 4 year teaching degree, specialising in PE and many coaching qualifications including football, cricket, volleyball, rugby, dodgeball, yoga and swimming! I grew up in Worthing and wanted to return home to start a business using my skills and knowledge of PE, sport and education built up over the years. It has been a fantastic experience and I love the fact I and my team can make a positive difference in many schools across the county. Physical fitness, opportunities to play sport and socialise have been severely hampered in recent years, so we are doing everything to assist with making life 'normal' and fun again! SportsCool Brighton is growing steadily (we are now partnered with 20 primary schools) providing various services to primary schools like sports clubs and curriculum PE teaching, plus we have been running successful and popular multi-sport holiday camps since October 2021.
