HAF Sewing Camp

The Little Sewing School

A summary
Welcome to the Little Sewing School Summer SEWING camps! Perfect for any creative kid - boys and girls both welcome of course :)
Summer
There are 2 choices of camps:
Week 1: 3/4/6/7 August (no camp on Wednesday)
Week 2: 17/18/19/20 August (no camp on Friday)
The activities on each week will be different so children can join both if they want!
All camp days run from 10am-1:30pm.
We will be using sewing machines to create loads of cool projects. Don't worry if you have never used a sewing machine before - you will be taken through all the steps of how to use one safely.
Some of the projects on our plan this Summer include:
✂️ Cushions
✂️ Quilts
✂️ Bags
✂️ Squishmallows
We will be having lunch from 12-1 with an opportunity for some down time to do some chilled out crafting.
After lunch we will have time to finish up our sewing project or continue on a week-long project.
Please note, your child should join for ALL 4 DAYS of the camp. This is because some projects are longer and we will be working on them over 2 days.
Also the skills are progressive, so we will start with easy projects and work our way up as their confidence improves.
***This activity has been funded through the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and coordinated by East Sussex County Council. Fully funded places are available for young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. This eligibility criteria has been defined by the DfE. Additionally young people in several other target cohorts can attend funded places, such as those with SEND or Looked After Children (LAC). Please note, eligibility will be confirmed as part of the booking process.***
