A summary

Universal Provision Your children and young people will receive three hours of adventurous, challenging enrichment activities fully supervised by qualified instructors. They will also receive a nutritious and healthy cooked lunch. Our Holiday Activity and Food programme has two options: 1. FREE spaces for children eligible for Free School Meals. 2. Activity Centre in North Somerset

Established in 1987, Mendip Adventure is a national activity, education and training provider setting the gold standard in adventure and training. Our flagship site is Mendip Activity Centre but there are several brands in our family. Our goal is to inspire everyone, everywhere, to make time for adventure. We do this by working with schools, families, individuals, groups and teams, and aim to inspire as many as possible. We deliver high-quality and important outdoor education with professionalism and passion through the pillars of Adventure, Learning and Training. Schedule

Each morning session starts at 9am. Please drop your child off by 8.45am. Please pick your child up between 12.45pm and 1pm. Each afternoon session starts at 2pm. Please drop your child off by 1:45pm. Please pick your child up between 5pm and 5:15pm.

Which School Meal?

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE? IMPORTANT! Your child must be eligible for free school meals and attend a school in North Somerset. Before booking sessions please read guidance on qualification available on the North Somerset Council HAF web pages Understanding Free School Meals for Children in the UK In the UK, there are two primary types of free school meals available for children: Universal Free School Meals Benefits Related Free School Meals 1. Universal Free School Meals Universal Infant Free School Meals are provided for all children in reception year, year 1, and year 2. These meals are automatically available to children upon entering reception and continue until the end of year 2. Parents do not need to apply for these meals as they are granted universally to all eligible children within these school years. 2. Benefits Related Free School Meals Benefits Related Free School Meals are available for children from families receiving certain qualifying benefits. Unlike Universal Free School Meals, these require parents or guardians to apply. Besides providing meals during the school term, qualifying children also gain access to funded Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) sessions, ensuring they receive nutritious meals even during school holidays. Families can determine their eligibility for Benefits Related Free School Meals by visiting the North Somerset Council website.
