Splash & Paddle: A Gentle Introduction to Water Sports Join us every Thursday for an exciting introduction to water sports and water play—designed especially for young people with additional needs! Activities are fully adapted to suit each individual’s ability, from gentle exploration at the water’s edge to supported paddling in shallow, knee-deep water using our inflatable canoes and paddleboards. Whether you're dipping your toes, playing safe water games, or trying paddling for the first time, this is a fun and flexible way to enjoy being near water—without pressure or fear. All participants are provided with life jackets and safety gear, and every session is led by trained, experienced staff who offer support and encouragement throughout. You don’t need to be a confident swimmer to join—just ready to explore, have fun, and build confidence at your own pace. It’s a perfect summer activity—safe, refreshing, and full of adventure—with the chance to stretch your comfort zone and learn something new in the great outdoors!

Outdoor Adventures for Every Ability
Grow Wild Outreach offers fun, inclusive holiday activities for young people with disabilities, all based in the great outdoors. Everything we do happens outside, with transport provided from local pick-up points to a different exciting outdoor location each day. Our activities include river clearing, cycling, food growing, community gardening, outdoor sports, and even an introduction to water sports! Led by experienced staff, our sessions are designed to be supportive, engaging, and confidence-boosting—giving young people the chance to explore nature, make new friends, and enjoy active, meaningful experiences during the school holidays.
Pick up and Drop off
This activity takes place at different outdoor locations across Northamptonshire, so we provide transport to keep it simple and accessible for families. Our team will meet all participants at 9:00am at the Kettering Swimming pool car Park London Rd, Kettering NN15 7QA where our minibus will be ready to go. We’ll return to the same location for pick-up at 3:00pm. This shared meeting point helps us bring the group together before heading out to explore the countryside and riverside sites that make this programme so special.
