A summary

Join our River Explorers team every Monday for a hands-on conservation adventure along one of Northamptonshire’s rivers! With guidance from trained staff and all protective gear provided, you’ll take part in safe, fully risk-assessed river cleaning activities, wildlife surveys, and water testing. Use nets to investigate what’s living in the river, learn about local ecosystems, and help protect nature—while having great fun outdoors! It’s a brilliant way to connect with the environment, build confidence, and make a real difference to your local community.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off

This activity takes place at different outdoor locations across Northamptonshire, so we provide transport to keep it simple and accessible for families. Our team will meet all participants at 9:00am at the Racecourse Pavilion, Kettering Rd, Northampton NN1 4LG where our minibus will be ready to go. We’ll return to the same location for pick-up at 3:00pm. This shared meeting point helps us bring the group together before heading out to explore the countryside and riverside sites that make this programme so special.
