What we'll do
About Our Multi-Sports Camps Our GNR8 Multi-Sports Camps are designed to give children a fun, active, and inspiring experience during the school holidays. Each camp combines a wide range of sports, fitness challenges, and team-based activities that help young people stay active, build confidence, and develop important life skills. Throughout the camp, children take part in a variety of sessions including boxing, judo with a world champion coach, football, athletics, dodgeball, basketball, and much more. Every activity is tailored to suit all ability levels, with a focus on participation, enjoyment, and teamwork rather than competition. In addition to sport, our camps include team-building exercises, confidence and resilience workshops, and opportunities for children to develop leadership and communication skills in a positive and supportive environment. All sessions are delivered by our experienced coaching team from GNR8 Academy, who are fully qualified, safeguarding trained, and passionate about helping young people thrive both physically and mentally. Beyond the Camps GNR8 Academy is a community-based boxing and fitness club that runs year-round. We provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get active through boxing, judo, and fitness training. Our aim is to create a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone – from complete beginners to aspiring athletes – can learn, grow, and feel part of a team. Beyond our gym, we also work closely with local schools, delivering sports sessions, mentoring, and wellbeing support. These outreach programmes help young people build discipline, confidence, and healthier habits both in and out of school. Our holiday camps are an extension of this work, giving children a safe, supportive, and fun place to spend their school breaks while being part of the GNR8 community.

GNR8 Academy is a community-based boxing and fitness facility in Leicester dedicated to empowering young people through sport, discipline, and community. Founded by World and European champion and Paralympic medallist Dan Powell, GNR8 Academy provides a safe, inclusive space where young people can train, grow in confidence, and improve their physical and mental wellbeing. From boxing youth scholarship programs for those from lower economic backgrounds, GNR8 Academy is more than a gym — it’s a community built on respect, resilience, and opportunity.
