A summary
This is a weight management course for adults taking a GLP-1 injection.
Over the 12-week course, you will learn the necessary lifestyle changes to prevent weight regain after stopping the GLP-1 injections. The course features a friendly, supportive approach to fitness, and includes low impact strength training specifically designed to help you build healthy muscle mass and protect against bone density loss.
Heidi, our experienced Weight Management Lead, is passionate about helping people make lasting changes. She focuses on breaking unhelpful habits, improving mental wellbeing, and sharing the knowledge you need to lose weight and keep it off for good.
If you’ve had surgery within the past 12 weeks, it’s important you follow your doctor's advice on getting active again. Please note: This course will not advise you on what dosage to take, how long you should be on the injections, or which one is best for you. If you would like answers to these questions, please consult your GP.
Location update: Throughout January the course will take place at Ark Alexandra (Helenswood site) and will then move to The St Leonards Academy in February.
