Our curriculum
Each session focuses on key GCSE English and Maths content, helping students build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need ahead of the 2026 GCSE examinations. The sessions are designed to support students in revising the most important topics, strengthening their understanding of core concepts, and developing effective exam techniques that will help them perform at their best. Throughout the sessions, students will revisit essential areas of the curriculum that commonly appear in GCSE exams. In English, this includes developing reading comprehension skills, analysing texts, improving written responses, and practising structured exam answers. Students will also work on spelling, punctuation and grammar, while learning how to clearly communicate ideas and interpretations in both language and literature questions. In Maths, sessions will focus on reinforcing fundamental skills such as number operations, algebra, ratios, problem solving and exam-style reasoning. Students will practise working through typical GCSE questions step-by-step, helping them understand not only how to reach the correct answer but also how to show their working clearly in order to gain maximum marks. By breaking topics down into manageable sections, students are supported in building both confidence and accuracy. To ensure that every student receives meaningful support, each student is provided with a tailored revision guide. These guides are designed to highlight key topics, provide clear explanations, and offer practice questions that mirror the style and difficulty of GCSE exam papers. The revision guides also allow students to continue practising independently outside of the sessions, reinforcing the learning that takes place during each class. A key feature of these sessions is the small group size, with a maximum of four students per group. This ensures that each student receives individual attention and targeted support where it is needed most. Smaller groups allow the tutor to quickly identify areas where students may be struggling and provide personalised guidance to help them overcome challenges. The small group environment also creates a supportive and relaxed learning atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and building their confidence. Students benefit from collaborative learning while still receiving focused one-to-one support within the group. Overall, these sessions provide structured, supportive and focused preparation for GCSE English and Maths, helping students feel well prepared, motivated and ready to approach their 2026 exams with confidence.
