From tiny microscopic yeasts and moulds, to those that produce huge fruiting bodies, such the Giant Puffball, they come in a wide variety of colours, forms, and sizes. Yes — this event is specifically designed for neurodiverse children. We keep the group small, the pace relaxed, and our guides are happy to adjust as needed. There's no pressure to "perform" any activity — you're welcome to explore at your own comfort level.
What if my child finds loud noises or busy environments overwhelming?
Group size is capped at 30, and we're happy to talk in advance about specific sensory needs — just get in touch before the day.
Where exactly do we meet?
You can join the group meet-up at Elephant & Castle station, or come directly to the Cox's Walk entrance to Sydenham Hill Wood (Dulwich Common/Lordship Lane). Full details sent on booking.
Is the terrain accessible?
The woods have some uneven, natural woodland paths. Sturdy footwear is recommended. Let us know in advance if you have specific accessibility needs and we'll do our best to advise.
