A summary
Fun Science is back for Christmas with some more FUN science! Days are suitable for children aged 4-9 and all sessions have a first aider on site. These clubs will be held on the 22nd & 23rd December, from 10am – 3pm at Scout Hut 6388, St Bartholomew's Road, Bristol, BS7 9BJ. 22nd December - Workshop in a Winter Wonderland: (Singing of the name is encouraged!) - What do elves do in a workshop? They build things! Children can expect to build, create, test and predict with a variety of winter-themed science activities. This day includes sleighs, snowy slime, snowmen, and snowflakes! 23rd December - Cool Christmas Chemistry: This day is exactly as it says in the name - a Christmas-themed, chemistry-filled day. Children can expect eruptions with a festive twist; fizzing, sparkles and lots of colourful chemical reactions!

FAQs
How will I let you know my child's food choice for lunch? Once your space is confirmed we will ask for your child's food choice, please ensure we know if your child has any dietary needs or allergies ASAP. What do I do if my child has medication? If your child brings medication with them we may need to administer, you will be asked to complete a consent form on arrival. What do they need to bring with them? On the day, please send them in with a bottle of water we can refill throughout the day. We advise children don't bring any of their own toys, we have plenty of them to play with and do at the venue. It is also advisable your child brings appropriate clothing for the weather, we do go outside for play time so a coat is required, some parents pack a spare pair of clothes and wellies for their child too. Where do I drop off and pick up? At this venue, there's a main gate by the front door, please head to this door at 10am and line up here for pick up at 3pm, the gate on Happy Lane will also be open for drop-off and pick-up but if you are late this may be closed. What is Stay n Play? There is the option to add on Stay n Play for a further £3.50 from 9am - 10am, where your child can play if you require childcare earlier than 10am. Please email bath@fun-science.org.uk to add this on, but this is not included in your funded space. What if my child needs assistance with going to the toilet? We are able to accept children from age 4+, providing they are able to go to the toilet and, if needed, get changed by themselves. We do not have the capacity to provide 1:1 care and as such are not able to assist with toileting. In the event of a toileting accident, children will need to be able to get themselves changed. If you have any questions about this policy please do get in touch as we are happy to discuss individual cases. What if my child requires a 1:1? We aim to be an inclusive space, if your child is eligible and we have enough advance notice, we can get in touch with FLORA to see if your child can receive funding for a 1:1. If they can, we can then hire an extra member of staff to support your child. This is a lengthy process so the more time we allow for this, the more likely we are able to provide the support.
