A summary
We offer a range of football activities designed to support personal growth and development. For those who prefer alternative options, we also provide a variety of engaging activities, including arts and crafts, board games, other sports, and access to our dedicated e-sports room. All sessions are delivered by Foundation of Light staff who are fully qualified, professional, friendly, and committed to creating a fun and inclusive environment for everyone. Participants also enjoy a hot, nutritious meal freshly prepared by our 9 Yard Café.

We are the Foundation of Light Established in 2001 by former Sunderland AFC chairman Sir Bob Murray CBE, our mission is simple: to use the power of football to tackle the North East's biggest societal challenges, helping our communities to live happier and healthier lives. Situated in the North East of England, we are based at the Beacon of Light in Sunderland and have outreach centres across the city, South Tyneside and County Durham.
