Forest School Tarpology workshop.
Not used a tarp shelter for a while? New to it?
This workshop covers all the classic tarp techniques, but also the installation of highline group shelters, wind breaks, maximising space, poles, pegs and the hitches and knots required to secure a shelter from sun to rain and wind.
We will go through putting up shelters, things to consider, equipment that is suitable and weather considerations. There will be plenty of time to practice, ask questions and hone your skills through the session.

I have been practising Forest School since 2010 and delivering Forest School Training since 2014 across Southern England. I am an Endorsed Forest school Trainer with the Forest school Association. I have over 30 years of environmental education experience. My tutoring experience doesn't stop at Forest School - I am also a qualified First Aid trainer and have tutored a range of outdoor and sports qualifications. I am passionate about Forest School - Forest School. It was a life changing approach to educating and engaging with the outdoors through a learner led approach and investigative in design rather than traditional learning styles in outdoor education. My own Forest School company (Coast and Forest Education) and previously sat on the Forest School Association (FSA) board. My particular specialities are working with groups with special education needs on a long-term basis and sharing knowledge and skills on the importance of physical play in childhood. I take great delight in seeing individuals grow.
