A summary

Primarily a practical workshop cooking over fire for ourselves and the group to share food together.
Using story, folk tales and art for inspiration. Considering the cost of living crisis, food banks and free school meals, we will explore how food and famine appears in well known fairy tales and how these can have meaning and application for us today.
Despite the gloomy title, this will cook up to be a fun and friendly approach to share how food in the outdoors can serve us and our communities. The content is built on years of outdoor and community food education and also based on my thesis in my Masters in research with my ongoing work in writing and art.
An outdoor research zine has also been produced for this event and will be available at the workshop.
