A summary
Step away from screens and into the great outdoors at Fields Farm Nature Play & Therapy CIC! Our holiday sessions offer children the opportunity to spend time with a wide range of friendly farm animals whilst exploring, playing, learning and making new friends in a safe and welcoming environment. Every visit is packed with hands-on activities and new experiences. Children will have the chance to meet and interact with our alpacas, donkeys, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, chickens and peacocks. Depending on the day, they may help prepare animal feeds, fill water buckets, groom animals, collect eggs, create enrichment toys, learn about animal care and welfare, and discover what it takes to look after a working smallholding. Beyond the animals, children will enjoy outdoor adventure and nature-based activities. They might build dens, complete nature treasure hunts, make mud creations in our mud kitchen, create natural crafts using leaves and flowers, plant seeds, learn about wildlife habitats, or take part in seasonal farm-themed challenges and games. Our sessions encourage children to get active through obstacle courses, team games, scavenger hunts, movement activities and outdoor exploration. We provide plenty of opportunities for creativity too, with crafts linked to the animals, nature and the changing seasons. Children are free to explore, learn and play at their own pace, supported by experienced staff who understand that every child is different. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued and able to build confidence, develop social skills and try new things. During Holiday Activities and Food sessions, children will also receive a nutritious meal and healthy snacks, helping them stay energised throughout the day. Whether your child loves animals, enjoys being outdoors, likes getting creative, or simply wants to spend time making new friends, there is something for everyone at Fields Farm. We believe the best learning happens through hands-on experiences, muddy boots, fresh air, animal encounters and lots of fun.

About your mentor
Fields Farm Nature Play & Therapy CIC
A place to grow, play & connect
Fields Farm Nature Play & Therapy CIC is a community-focused, not-for-profit organisation based in Whaplode, Lincolnshire. We provide inclusive, nature-based experiences that support children, young people, families, and adults to improve wellbeing, confidence, social connection, and life skills through meaningful engagement with animals and the outdoors. Our farm is home to a variety of friendly animals including alpacas, donkeys, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, poultry, and peacocks, all of which play an important role in our hands-on learning and wellbeing activities. We deliver a range of programmes including holiday activities, home education sessions, animal care and ASDAN courses, family play opportunities, wellbeing groups, and community events. We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment where everyone can learn, explore, and thrive regardless of age, ability, or background. Our activities encourage creativity, resilience, teamwork, physical activity, and a deeper connection with nature, helping participants develop confidence and positive wellbeing in a supportive outdoor setting.
Important information
Please ensure children arrive wearing suitable clothing for outdoor activities and farm experiences. We recommend comfortable clothing that can get muddy, sturdy closed-toe footwear such as wellies or trainers, and weather-appropriate layers. During colder months, please bring a warm coat, hat and gloves. In warmer weather, children should wear sun cream, a sun hat and bring a refillable water bottle. Toilet and handwashing facilities are available on site, and all participants will be encouraged to wash their hands regularly, particularly after animal interactions and before eating. For safety reasons, all visitors must remain within our secure play paddock area (Fields Farm HQ) unless participating in a supervised activity elsewhere on the farm with a member of staff. Children must follow staff instructions at all times to help keep themselves, others and our animals safe. If your child has any medical, dietary, allergy or additional support needs, please ensure these are included within your booking so that we can provide the best possible experience for everyone.
