What we'll do
Join us for a wonderful day at a small farm near Grayrigg! Surrounded by beautiful countryside, children will spend the day immersed in nature, creativity, and outdoor play. They’ll have the opportunity to meet and feed the farm’s friendly goats, sheep and chickens. Explore the river through river dipping, and discover the fascinating plants, insects, and wildlife that call the farm home. Throughout the day, children will enjoy a range of hands-on, nature-inspired activities, including pressing flowers, making their own sketchbooks, drawing bugs and other discoveries, mixing up magical nature potions, and creating mud pies. There will also be plenty of time for free play in the meadow, building confidence, curiosity, and connection with the natural world. This is a relaxed, child-led day designed to encourage exploration, imagination, and a sense of adventure, with opportunities to get messy, make new friends, and enjoy the simple pleasures of being outdoors. Children will be collected from and dropped back to Ragtag, Kendal, in our minibus. Please ensure children wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, as many activities will take place outside and may involve getting muddy or wet. We can't wait to spend a fun-filled day exploring the farm together! ????
