Inclusive HAF offering
This is not a holiday club just for SEND children, it is an inclusive offering. We want all children to feel included and our offering is open to SEND children who attend main stream schools and special schools. We will call and discuss when you book to ensure we can meet each child needs if required and reassurance. You are more than welcome to visit the venue before the holidays to familiarise your child with our setting too.
Learning aims
Aim 1
By the end of the Easter Holiday Club attendees may be able to: Explain what makes a design “work” (e.g., stability, strength, balance, impact protection) and why some ideas fail
Aim 3
Test and improve a build using a clear try–tweak–try again process (basic iteration)
Aim 5
Measure and compare results in simple ways (taller/stronger/faster, what changed, what worked best)
Aim 7
Show increased confidence and resilience, understanding that mistakes are part of learning and progress
Aim 2
Plan and build a model to meet a simple brief (with constraints like time, materials, or size)
Aim 4
Use key STEM vocabulary appropriately (e.g., structure, force, weight, measure, predict, evaluate)
Aim 6
Solve problems collaboratively, taking turns, sharing ideas, and listening to others
Aim 8
Create and present a finished build or solution, describing their choices and what they would change next time
