A summary
Are you looking for something fun to do in the Easter holiday? Then why not book onto our free Easter HAF sessions, where children can enjoy sports, team games and arts and crafts. Activities vary daily, examples include: Sports & Games: Dodgeball, archery, tennis, football, basketball, team challenges, and garden games! Creative Fun: Get crafty with Easter-themed arts and crafts! Healthy eating: Smoothie making, fruit kebabs, tasting new foods! A free lunch is provided at this session. Booking is essential as spaces are limited. Free tickets, including lunch, snacks and drinks are available for all young people who are eligible for income-related free school meals. When booking please use the HAF ticket option from the drop-down list. If your child is not eligible for free school meals but you would like to join in, when booking please select the Non-HAF ticket option in the drop-down list. Tickets cost £3.50, if you would like us to provide lunch, snacks and drinks, or free if your child is bringing their own packed lunch. *** Free HAF places at this activity has been funded through the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and coordinated by East Sussex County Council. Free places are available for young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. This eligibility criteria has been defined by the DfE. Additionally young people in several other target cohorts can attend funded places, such as those with SEND or Looked After Children (LAC), these tickets can be booked after 16 March. Active Hastings
Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.
