What we'll do
Durham Wildlife Trust is delighted to welcome children along to Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve during the school holidays to explore the natural world. Together, we’ll head outdoors and connect with the wildlife around us. First up, we’ll look, listen and get to know the birds of the reserve. We’ll move on to exploring the minibeasts of the magical meadows, creating a bug hotel along the way. Next up, we’ll explore what lies beneath the water’s surface, marvelling at the damsels and dragons around us. And finally, we’ll take time to appreciate the trees and bees all around the wild space and learn why pollinators are so precious. We will take a break for a healthy lunch in the play park or woods - so dress for outdoor activities and check the weather on the day! We will meet each morning in the visitor centre reception.

Cancellation Policy
Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
