What we'll do
After starting with a relaxing, healthy lunch prepared by the Global Kitchen chefs, participants will enjoy a special hands-on drumming workshop with Rubba. Through rhythm, movement and teamwork, everyone will learn and play together in a fun and welcoming environment. No experience is needed. The session will build confidence, creativity and an appreciation of world cultures through music. Participants will explore different rhythms, develop listening and coordination skills, and experience the joy of making music as a group. The workshop encourages participation, self-expression and connection, creating a memorable and energetic shared experience for everyone involved.

Do I need any drumming experience? No, the workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with experience. Is lunch included? Yes, a healthy lunch prepared by the Global Kitchen chefs is included. Do I need to bring anything? No, all drums and equipment will be provided. Can I take part if I have limited mobility? Yes, the workshop can be adapted to suit a range of abilities. Please contact us to discuss any specific needs. What will I learn? You will learn basic drumming techniques, rhythms from different cultures, and how to play as part of a group. Will everyone get a chance to play a drum? Yes, all participants will have access to a drum and will be encouraged to join in. What should I wear? Comfortable clothing suitable for sitting, moving and participating in activities. Do children need to be accompanied by an adult? Yes, children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult throughout the session. Is the workshop suitable for beginners? Absolutely. The session is designed to be fun, welcoming and accessible to all. What are the learning aims of the workshop? To build confidence, teamwork, listening skills, coordination, creativity and an appreciation of different cultures through music and rhythm. Can you cater for dietary requirements? Yes. Please let us know about any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements when booking. All food provided will be vegan.
