Our curriculum
Based on age-appropriate, Steiner Waldorf principles, we will explore choral and individual dramatic and musical arts, working towards a performance on Thursday 11th December at 3 pm in Garlinge Theatre. We will look at bringing a humour into dramatic life and explore seasonal light and dark, and their effects on the land we live on through a heartwarming, Christmas story. Parents, families and friends all welcome on 11th Dec at 3 to enjoy the end point in our journey! Donations also welcome on the door to support theatre costs.
About your mentors
Anthea Chapman
A dedicated, child-centred, artistic, fun tutor
With years' of teaching experience, I offer Steiner-Waldorf groups in Drama, French and other subjects. Always child-centred, seasonally inspired activities bring each class alive. Working with all art forms, our subjects come alive in the groups, with proximity to nature gently encouraged through our choice of themes. In this group we will have experienced support from other teachers who will bring their skills and creativity to help guide the children's and group's development.
Tessa Carias
Mentor collaborator
I’ve been a Waldorf teacher and teacher trainer for nearly 30 years, first specialising in Upper School and GCSE teaching and then as a Class teacher of 6 to 14 year olds. I love the creativity and imagination involved in teaching, especially combining movement, song, art and literature in current drama projects.
