Accommodation:
Cumulus Outdoor Residential Centre
Some of our residentials take place at our purpose build residential centre in Swanage. Participants will stay in our ensuite dormitory accommodation with indoor and outdoor recreational facilities (pool table, air hockey, table tennis & football pitch) dining room and a private lounge. The centre is situated a 10 minutes’ walk from Swanage town centre and beach.
Tented Village
If you’re looking to embrace the great outdoors, we highly recommend booking our Tented Village residentials. You’ll enjoy exclusive use of our private campsite on the shore of Poole Harbour and fun-filled evenings around the campfire. Our tented villages come with large canvas aero-yurt tents, large Nordic tipis with fire pits, private showers & toilets and a camp kitchen with a chef.
Activities
The activities we offer depend on the time of year / weather conditions and the type of residential you book. They can include Dorset Water Park, tag archery, rifle shooting, coasteering, climbing, raft building, paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking, indoor bouldering, fossil hunting and tunnelling.

Cancellation policy
Payment terms for DofE Gold Residentials as follows: 50% of the payment made on booking is a non-refundable deposit to secure the residential place. The remaining 50% is refundable should the participant cancel their place 56 days or more from the start of the residential. Cancellation by Cumulus Outdoors Cumulus Outdoors reserves the right to cancel a residential should insufficient participants book (we require a minimum of 8 participants per residential). In this event we will offer either: a) A full refund. b) A transfer of all monies to another residential c) Gain agreement to charge all participants pro rata. We will give as much notice as possible of any cancellations. Unfortunately, we can't be responsible for any expenses you incur as a result of changed plans.
My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
