What we'll doGet ready for a wild summer adventure packed with exploration, discovery and outdoor fun! Young people will have the opportunity to explore some of our beautiful local natural spaces while taking part in exciting activities such as foraging, rock pooling, den building, animal tracking and nature-based challenges. Designed to be fun, engaging and hands-on, this session encourages curiosity, teamwork and a deeper connection with the natural world in a safe and supportive environment.
Young people will travel from Brid CYP to Danes Dyke on organised minibuses, where they will have the chance to discover local wildlife, explore hidden natural treasures and enjoy the outdoors. Whether spotting animal tracks, investigating rock pools or learning about the environment around them, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved, try new experiences.
Our friendly, experienced and fully trained staff from both Bridlington CYP and Rewilding Youth will be on hand throughout the session to provide guidance, encouragement and support, helping everyone feel included, safe and confident while exploring the outdoors.
Throughout the day, participants will be provided with a range of food, drinks and snacks (including vegetarian and gluten free) , ensuring everyone stays fuelled for their adventure.
More than just a day outdoors, this is a fantastic opportunity for young people to connect with nature, build confidence, make new friends and experience the wild places right on their doorstep.
Although we are not SEND specific provider, our youth hub team regularly work with and provide support to children with SEND related needs. Although we are not in a position to be able to provide 1 to 1 support, we have and are more than happy to chat with parents and carers in advance of sessions to plan for any support that may be needed. Parents or a 1 to 1 worker for a young person are also able to attend our sessions.

What are the transport arrangements?
The trip will set off from and return to Bridlington CYP. Mini Bus transport is available for all young people (via Acklams Coaches). The journey time is around 10-15 minutes. If a parent/carer would prefer to drop off and pick up their child/children, this is an option, but will need to communicated and arranged in advance.
What is the food like?
There is always a range of healthy fruits snacks available at all our sessions, along with plenty of supplies of water and juice. Our hardworking and friendly kitchen team always have a range of options on the menu for dinner time, giving young people the opportunity to choose for themselves, including many healthy options. Any special dietary requirements can always be met, if they are known in advance
What happens if the weather is rubbish?
CYP is a 22-acre site with a range of indoor and outdoor spaces available. Most of the outdoor activities provided can easily be moved and accommodated indoors.
How do ensure a good quality activity is delivered and young people are kept safe?
All our sessions have a minimum of 5 workers. Our dedicated youth hub team is made up of qualified youth workers and sports coaches who have great knowledge and experience in developing and delivering, safe, fun, inclusive activities that young people can both enjoy and learn from.
