Dance Holiday Camps

Universal Dance

A summary
Universal Dance’s Dance & Craft Holiday Camps offer an exciting and creative 09.00-16.00 provision, perfect for young dancers looking to stay active and inspired during the school holidays. Each day is packed with high-energy dance training, engaging arts and crafts, and interactive games, all centred around a fun daily theme.
Dancers will explore a variety of styles, including Street, Commercial, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre, through dynamic workshops that develop technique and performance skills. They’ll also have the opportunity to unleash their creativity by learning how to choreograph their own routines. Each day concludes with a showcase performance for family and friends, celebrating the dancers' achievements.
The creativity continues during some afternoons with arts and crafts activities linked to the theme of the day. From designing costumes and posters to creating jewellery or seasonal crafts for Easter and Christmas, participants will get hands-on with exciting projects. The fun doesn’t stop there—games and performing arts quizzes add an extra layer of entertainment, ensuring every child has a fantastic experience.
Perfect for dancers of all abilities, Universal Dance’s Holiday Camps provide a supportive and inspiring environment where young performers can develop their skills, make new friends, and build confidence—all while having a blast!

From September, free school meal (FSM) eligibility is changing in two ways:
- There will be two categories of benefits-related free school meals: Targeted FSM and Expanded FSM. A full explanation is available on the East Sussex County Council website: Free School Meals | East Sussex County Council. Only children who qualify for Targeted FSM will be eligible for these funded activities.
- Transitional protection will end from September. This protection ensured that children did not lose their FSM entitlement if family circumstances changed during a school phase. Families are currently being reassessed and, where circumstances have improved and eligibility criteria are no longer met, children may no longer qualify for free school meals.**
