Miss Belward
A summary
We will be working together to plan, choreograph and rehearse a dance routine which we will hopefully perform at the Summer Fete or in a school assembly.
It is likely the routine will be mostly contemporary dance, which is similar to ballet and jazz.
Each session will begin with a warm up to ensure we are ready to dance. We will then spend some time working on skills which will likely feature within the routine. Each week we will add more onto the routine we are learning until we reach the point where we are polishing the routine for the performance.

About your mentor
Miss Belward
Miss Belward
Miss Belward has been dancing all her life. She attended ballet and modern theatre dance classes until the age of 18, she also studied a BTEC in Dance (contemporary) from 16-18. During her time at secondary school and sixth form, she took part in inter-school dance competitions and always wanted to be able to give that opportunity to future generations. While at university training to be a teacher, she was an active member of the dance society and took part in ballet, modern and contemporary classes. In 2019, Miss Belward's dance club performed on the New Theatre stage as part of the Oxfordshire Schools' Dance Festival. In 2022, Miss Belward's dance clubs performed on the New Theatre stage for both the Oxfordshire Schools' Dance Festival and the southern heat of the Great Big Dance Off. They placed 3rd in the competition and went on to represent Church Cowley at the national finals in Cheltenham.
