What we'll do
Magic Sun Prints: Cyanotype Workshop for Creative young people as part of the HAF programme! Unleash your child’s inner artist and scientist in this hands-on, magical workshop where we use the power of the sun to create stunning, bright blue works of art! Cyanotype is a 180-year-old photographic printing process that uses a special sun-sensitive solution and natural sunlight. No cameras, no darkrooms—just pure, messy, creative fun. ? What You Will Do: Explore: We’ll start by exploring leaves, flowers, and interesting textured objects that we have collected, and pressed Design & Compose: You will learn how to arrange their treasures, and how to create beautiful stencils and silhouettes. Harness the Sun: Watch the magic happen live as the sunlight transforms the paper right before their eyes! The Big Reveal: Wash the prints in water to reveal a gorgeous, deep Prussian blue masterpiece to take home and frame. What to Wear Come dressed for an art workshop! What to Bring Please bring water Bottles PLEASE NOTE: We will be using the space outside the gallery which is a public space. All safety measures will be taken. If you child is a flight risk please contact us in advance to discuss if this is the right setting for your child.
