A summary
Have fun - explore musical instruments and produce your own mini musical at the Clifton Centre, Warrior Square, St Leonards-on-sea. There is a dedicated music room to explore musical instruments. Looked after by Yair Katz, you can find and play old and new instruments you love. Work together and make your very own fun and inspiring mini musical with Andy Mersh. Food will be provided by Isabelle from the Rainbow Kitchen. You can join in and make your very own preparations like cake in a cup. These places are provided free by HAF for families on means tested benefits, There are some donation tickets available. This is a donation, so if you are someone slipping through the net, working poor and can't afford a donation please contact us. ***This activity has been funded through the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and coordinated by East Sussex County Council. Fully funded places are available for young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. This eligibility criteria has been defined by the DfE. Additionally young people in several other target cohorts can attend funded places, such as those with SEND or Looked After Children (LAC). Please note, eligibility will be confirmed as part of the booking process.***

Education, Celebration, Inclusion
Hastings Thrives is a local children's charity supporting young people in learning through the arts, sciences and wellbeing. It promotes confidence and inclusion for all. Isabelle runs the Rainbow Kitchen supporting learning for families. Yair Katz is a music therapist and provides a safe space for young people to explore instruments in their own time and unique way.
Andy Mersh
Freelance Musician & Producer
As well as a regular leader for Hastings Thrives songwriting workshops, Andy is a professional freelance musician and music producer from East Sussex. Having worked in various bands, musical orchestras and independent projects, he is always ready to share his knowledge and expertise of the industry. With many years experience teaching in primary schools, Andy's focus is always to get others involved in fun activities such as writing and recording music while promoting a mixture of humour and creativity.
