Creative Kids Holiday Club: October 2026

Culture Coventry

A summary
Looking for a school holiday activity that goes beyond ordinary childcare?
This October Half Term, join us at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum for a day of spooky-themed creativity, hands-on making and artistic exploration!
Our Creative Kids Holiday Club is designed for young people who love to make, create, experiment and get stuck into something new. Each full day is packed with activities, creative challenges and opportunities to explore the museum, giving children the chance to develop new skills while having lots of fun along the way.
Throughout the day, young people will explore a range of spooky Halloween-inspired arts and crafts, experimenting with different materials, techniques and ideas. From imaginative making to hands-on creative activities, there will be plenty of opportunities for children to put their own stamp on what they create, build confidence in their artistic abilities and discover their own creative voice.
The morning will focus on creative activities, giving children the opportunity to learn new techniques and work alongside professional artists. After lunch, the day will continue with a relaxed mix of creative activities, games, museum exploration and time to play, chat or chill out in our breakout space.
The club runs from 9:30am until 3:30pm, giving young people a full day of creativity and fun in a welcoming museum environment.
Please note that young people will need to bring their own packed lunch and a water bottle with them. We recommend including enough food and drink to keep them fuelled throughout the day. Children are also welcome to bring a small snack if they need one.
As our activities can involve a variety of art materials, we recommend that children come dressed in comfortable clothing that they don’t mind getting a little messy.
Whether your child already loves art or simply enjoys trying something new, our October Half Term Creative Kids Holiday Club is a great opportunity to create, experiment, explore and have fun during the school holidays.
Come along for a day of spooky creativity and discover what you can make!
