A summary

Celebrating South Asian heritage through art, creativity & connection

What happens when we bring together creativity, culture, memories and community?

We create a space where our stories can be seen, our traditions can be celebrated, and new connections can grow.

Creative Connections: Roots & Rang is a 9-week creative journey celebrating the richness, colour and diversity of South Asian heritage through hands-on creative workshops.

Across the programme, we will explore different forms of art and creativity inspired by the patterns, colours, traditions and stories that connect us to our heritage. From traditional techniques to new creative ideas, each session offers an opportunity to learn something new, express yourself and simply enjoy being creative.

But this programme is about more than making something beautiful.

It is about the conversations that happen while our hands are busy creating. The memories that surface. The skills passed down through generations. The traditions we remember, rediscover and perhaps see in a completely different way. It is about sharing stories, learning from one another and creating new memories together.

Whether you have always considered yourself creative or haven't picked up a paintbrush or made anything since childhood, you are welcome. There is no need for previous experience or artistic confidence. These workshops are about the process, not perfection.
