What we'll do
Unlock your creativity and inner artist at the HAF programme this winter, in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and funded by the Department for Education! This engaging programme brings together art and design, physical activity, and nutritional education in a fun, inclusive, and age-appropriate environment for both primary and secondary school-aged children. Each day combines hands-on creative experiences with opportunities to move, explore, and learn practical life skills that children can take home and continue beyond the summer. Children will journey through exciting summer-inspired themes including: - Ocean & Coastal Explorers Create sea-inspired artwork, design underwater worlds, build imaginative sculptures, and discover the importance of protecting natural environments. - Nature & Outdoor Discovery Take inspiration from summer gardens, wildlife, plants, and seasonal colours through creative making and sensory design activities. - Creative Summer Studio Experiment with drawing, painting, mixed media, design projects, wearable creations, and imaginative problem-solving inspired by the energy and freedom of summer. - Play & Movement Enjoy daily physical activities including team games, movement challenges and summer-themed fitness sessions that promote confidence and healthy habits. In addition, children will enjoy creative nutritional education and learn about healthy eating habits. Every day will provide a healthy hot meal, enriching activities, and joyful experiences that help children learn, create, stay active, and celebrate the spirit of summer together.

IDEA Studio Involve in Design, Empower with Action Welcome to IDEA Studio, based in the vibrant Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith, London! We believe Art is for All and offer dynamic, inclusive art and design experiences for young creators. But we’re more than just technical skills—our programs empower children with design thinking, foster creativity, and nurture a sense of global citizenship. Through our after-school clubs, holiday camps, local and international community projects, we embrace a participatory approach that actively involves children in designing and creating solutions that matter. From building service trips to co-creating with local communities in London, Hong Kong, Cambodia, India, and Nepal, we ensure every project inspires connection, empathy, and meaningful impact. With IDEA Studio, young minds don’t just learn—they innovate, collaborate, and transform the world. Talk to us at: enquiry@ideaproject.design
HAF Eligibility
FUEL (which stands for ‘Feed Ur Everyday Lives’) is the name for the holiday activity and food programme (HAF) in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is funded by the Department of Education and run by Achieving for Children. Eligible recipients of the HAF are young people aged 5 to 16 years (including 4 year olds if they are in reception) who are receiving benefit related free school meals. More information on HAF eligibility is available here. Benefit related free school meals are different to the universal free school meals that all young people now receive at primary schools. Benefit related free school meals need to be applied for through your local council. You can find out more information on applying for benefit related free school meals here: Kingston: https://www.kingston.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/free-school-meals Richmond: https://www.richmond.gov.uk/services/children_and_family_care/schools_and_colleges/welfare_and_support/pupil_and_student_finance/free_school_meals
