Creative Apprentice – Two-Day Challenge
Monday 24 & Tuesday 25 August 2026 | Ages 11+
Do you have what it takes to impress our very own Lord Sugar?
Over two exciting days, participants will step into the world of business, design and product development as they take on the ultimate Creative Apprentice challenge.
On Day One, participants will explore a range of creative production techniques used by small businesses and designers. They'll have the opportunity to try equipment such as badge makers, stickers and other creative processes while developing new practical skills and discovering which techniques they enjoy most.
Once they've explored the different methods, they'll be challenged to develop their own product idea. They'll think about who their customer is, what makes their product special and how they can create something people would want to buy.
On Day Two, it's time to bring those ideas to life. Participants will make their finished product, create a brand identity, design packaging or promotional materials, decide on a selling price and prepare a sales pitch before presenting their business idea to our very own "Lord Sugar."
Who will create the most innovative product? Who will impress with their branding? And who will make the biggest profit?
This fun and interactive challenge combines creativity with entrepreneurship, encouraging young people to think like designers, makers and business owners.
Over the two days participants will:
- Try a variety of creative making techniques, including badge making and T-shirt printing.
- Explore different creative equipment and materials.
- Design and make their own product.
- Create a brand name and visual identity.
- Design promotional materials and consider pricing.
- Develop presentation and communication skills.
- Pitch their product and business idea to our very own "Lord Sugar."
- Build confidence, creativity and teamwork while having fun.
This workshop is ideal for young people who enjoy being creative, coming up with new ideas and want to experience what it's like to turn an idea into a real product.
