Crafty days with Ragtag Arts. block mentored by Ragtag Arts CIC

What we'll do

Every Wednesday during the summer holidays, we have a fun-filled crafty session planned for children aged 6–11 years, packed with creativity, outdoor adventures and plenty of opportunities to explore and play. Wednesday 22nd & 29th July - Arty Farm Days (book on via separate listing) Wednesday 5th August – Ceramics A day dedicated to clay. Children will create their own ceramic bird house or fairy house to take home, using professional clay and glazes that will be fired in our kiln and ready to collect at a later date. Wednesday 12th August – Felting Using colourful wool fibres, we'll make a felted picture as well as a small bag or hat, which can then be embellished with stitching, pom-poms and buttons. Wednesday 19th August – Sewing Create your own animal or monster pillow using hand stitching, buttons, ribbons, tassels and lots of other decorative materials. Wednesday 26th August – Painting & Drawing Taking inspiration from nature, children will draw flowers, bugs and butterflies, enjoy a drawing trip to the park, and create their own canvas painting to take home. Crafty days at Ragtag also include access to our popular loose parts play space and a daily trip to the park for fresh air, games and outdoor fun. We can't wait for a summer full of creating, exploring and having fun!
