A summary

Our HAF programme will provide a fun, safe and culturally inclusive environment where children and young people can learn new skills, build friendships and enjoy a wide range of enriching activities throughout the holidays.

Each session will include a variety of creative and physical activities, including traditional and modern dance, singing, music workshops and opportunities for children to learn and perform together. Participants will also take part in arts and crafts, where they can design and create their own artwork, helping to develop creativity, confidence and teamwork.

We will encourage healthy, active lifestyles through outdoor games, sports and regular visits to local parks and open spaces. In response to requests from the young people themselves, we also plan to organise an educational and recreational trip to York, giving many children the opportunity to visit a historic city that they may not otherwise have the chance to experience.

To celebrate the end of the programme, we will host a large family BBQ and celebration event. Children and young people will showcase what they have learned through live music, singing and dance performances, allowing them to build confidence, celebrate their achievements and share their culture with their families and the wider community.

Our programme has been designed with the views of local children and families at its heart, ensuring activities are enjoyable, engaging and accessible while promoting wellbeing, creativity, physical activity and positive social connections.
