Cooking with Mary

We will be running a 5 week programme in which Mary, our wonderful chef, will be teaching you how to cook some quick simple dishes. You will learn how to chop properly, health and safety around the kitchen, food hygiene (especially with meat) and you will make some delicious, nutritional meals! We invite family/friends of attendees to attend the final session to be cooked for! All sessions will be delivered in our Hub space and we will be working with meat (halal) and it's all completely free. Week 1 - Introduction to cooking Knife skills Poached egg and smashed avocado on toast. Week 2 - Use of hobs and pans Veggie stir fry Week 3 - Hygiene and food safety around meat Chicken breast with salad and homemade dressing Week 4 - Revisit to food safety and hygiene around meat Burgers with homemade mayonnaise Week 5 - Choice meal from any of previous weeks to serve Opportunity to invite family to cook for!
