What we'll do
Come and practice your outdoor cooking skills! This event is for current and aspiring Forest School practitioners. The workshop will be jammed packed with ideas, inspiration and practical training to take back to your own groups. Learn to warm the hearts and tummies of your forest families and use food as an important part of sessions. Mary and Barb will be presenting recipes from Mary's Forest School Feast Folder, from which you will have the opportunity to create at least 3 recipes on the day. All ingredients and equipment will be provided. Price includes a copy of the Forest School Feast Folder, for you to take away and use within your own practice.
About your mentor
Crawley into the Green
Fun learning in the woods
Mary Peach is a qualified Teacher and Forest School Leader, she has many years of experience delivering Forest School days to young people. She has found campfire cooking to be an integral part of her sessions and loves to share her skills with other Forest School leaders. Barb is a qualified Food Tech Teacher and worked with Mary to develop an Outdoor cooking qualification for teenagers. She cooks up amazing feasts at Sussex FSA Networking days and co-ordinated the food on offer at the FSA conference in 2019. Now they are working together again to share their skills with you!
