A summary

At Cook Stars we take care of all the preparation to make it easy for our Cook Stars to simply come along and enjoy our sessions. All ingredients, cooking equipment, an apron and packaging is provided. Everyone will cook their own lunch and take home their other dishes with recipe cards to cook again at home.

At our sessions, there's lots of opportunity to experiment with different preparation methods....weighing, measuring, shape cutting, decorating, rolling and much more! We learn about different ingredients, try new foods and develop useful life skills.

We also provide craft activities, outdoor games and snacks to keep children entertained while dishes cook.

Cook Stars believe the secret to pleasurable learning is though ‘play’ so our classes are friendly, relaxed and fun. We keep our class sizes small to tailor our support and encourage individuals whilst we cook up a range of delicious dishes and learn new skills.

We will provide a healthy morning and afternoon snack with drinks available throughout the day.

Can we cater for food allergies, intolerances and other special dietary needs?
Yes we can! Please let us know your child's allergies, intolerances and any other special dietary needs in as much detail as possible. We will ensure all ingredients and snack items are suitable for your child and all children will be able to choose from a range of ingredients in the recipes listed above.

My child might not eat the food you make - what will they eat?
You might be surprised, making the food themselves often tempts children to try new dishes. Alternative foods can be available if needed but please get in touch to discuss before the workshop. Any food that the children cook that is not eaten on the day will be packaged up to bring home. Children love making food for others so will still enjoy the day.

Do we need to bring anything?
A coat and suitable shoes for the playground - we will take regular breaks outside - even if it is raining. Please provide a hat and sun cream if the weather is hot and sunny.
We provide all equipment, ingredients, packaging, an apron and craft activities plus all snacks and a drink.
