A summary
The Yard is a welcoming space where young people can connect, make friends and try something new. We start conversations that bring people together to listen, learn, play and laugh; grow, cook and eat; and create, make and work.
During the summer holidays, young people will take part in a varied programme of gaming, crafting, reading, storytelling and podcasting.
They can enjoy board games, Dungeons & Dragons, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, virtual reality, gaming PCs and our arcade machine. Creative activities will encourage young people to use their imagination, learn new skills and make something fabulous, with all materials provided.
At The Yard, we offer space to be creative, be social and have lots of fun. Giving young people opportunities to build confidence, develop practical skills and make new connections throughout the summer.

£5When you arrive
When you arrive at The Yard, you’ll receive a warm welcome from our team: Stephen, Chris, Isaac, Lewis, Luke and Rue.
You’ll sign in, and if it’s your first visit, we’ll help you complete a membership form so we can learn a little more about you, your interests and the things you enjoy.
Then it’s time to get involved! You can game, craft, cook and take part in all the activities The Yard has to offer.

There is no smoking or drugs taking / drinking alcohol on site - and you must not be under the influence of any substance in order to have a go at any of the activities that we offer.
