A summary
Free 7-week course for adults (19+). Tuesdays, 10:00–12:30 at Gautby Road Play, Youth & Community Centre. Learn to design and run a friendly Lunch Club—hands-on cooking, food safety, budgeting and teamwork. More than food, we’ll help you turn community ideas and passion into action: map local needs, set goals, build an action plan, share roles, risk-assess, promote your activity and link with partners. Leave with a step-by-step plan for a Lunch Club or another project you care about, plus peer support and next-steps signposting. All welcome.

Plan & cost a project: Design a simple, nutritious Lunch Club or other community activity, including menu/activities, roles, equipment list, budget and weekly timetabl
Aim 3
Turn ideas into action: Use community-organising tools to map local needs/assets, set SMART goals, recruit volunteers/partners and coordinate tasks.
Aim 2
Cook safely & confidently: Apply essential food safety and allergen awareness while preparing a small set of recipes suitable for a community setting.
Aim 4
Create a launch-ready toolkit: Produce a step-by-step action plan (budget, risk assessment, comms/booking/marketing and basic evaluation) to start or improve the project.
