When you arrive
You might be a little nervous but you will soon be making friends and having fun! Each day will be different but you will get to try canoes, kayaks, bell boats and SUP's out on the river. You will learn how to paddle and be safe on the water. Lunch will be yummy with a session on how to fuel your body to be better and stronger paddlers. Then it will be time for either land based games or more river time, depending on how the morning went! On the last day, depending on progress, a whole river day adventure could be planned...

The Eyot Centre
Young People and Paddle Sports
The Eyot Centre is run by fully qualified volunteers, with a passion for fostering a love of paddle sports amongst young people from all backgrounds. We are the home of The Henley Canoe Club, The Henley Dragon Boat Club, a Social SUP Club and are a Duke of Edinburgh Awards centre.
What do you need to know?
Our timings are 10:00 - 16:00 Come in comfortable, older clothes and trainers, that you don't mind getting wet. Bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case. Suntan lotion too, even if it is a cloudy day.
