A summary
This session is for children and young people 4 - 16 years, that live in Milton Keynes and have a finalised EHCP. ✨ Climb Quest is delivering sessions as part of EHCP+ to deliver after-school SEND climbing sessions. These fun and interactive sessions are being run on Tuesdays between 5.30pm and 7pm during the Summer Term. Climb Quest Milton Keynes is a ‘fun’ climbing centre, with over 20 amazing looking walls that really motivate people of all ages, 4 years plus, to try. What makes it work so well for SEND climbers is that the walls are set up to be inclusive for all, regardless of physical ability or confidence level. The session lasts 90 minutes and consists of a 30 minutes of activities up stairs on our mezz followed by 1 hour on the climbing arena. We have assistance climbing hoists for climbers with physical disabilities. You can let us know on the booking form, if you think your child would benefit from this. ✨ Parents are not required to stay onsite during the sessions but must be back by the end of the session at 7pm. Sessions are eligible for children and young people who live in Milton Keynes and have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). ✨ You can book your child in for a single session or multiple sessions over the term as long as they fall within your activity allocation from the Council. No specialist equipment is required and our friendly instructors will be on hand to support and guide your children throughout the session. ✨ Please contact us if you have any questions about the centre or the sessions. As well as our instructors, additional care will be provided by the Peach Care Services, who are council accredited specialists in children’s care services.

Supervision
✨ We are working with a care agency to have higher level SEND trained staff members who will be part of the support the of attendees, ensuring that we are always able to meet the needs, interest and self development of the child or young person attending ✨

Children will leave with a real sense of accomplishment and the session will host valuable learning and development outcomes, particularly around confidence building.
