What we'll do

Step right up and join The Christmas Circus Spectacular — a magical two-day workshop bursting with festive fun, friendship, and creativity! You’ll dance, fly, tumble and cheer your way through an exciting mix of dance, aerial, acrobatics and cheerleading, all themed around the magic of the circus. From dazzling routines to showtime sparkle, it’s your chance to perform, shine and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year in true Starlight Academy style — full of energy, joy and festive magic!

The Starlight Academy, located in Newport on the Isle of Wight, is a vibrant performing arts school dedicated to nurturing talent across a wide range of disciplines. Founded by Mary Bowdery in 2012, the academy has grown from a single street dance class into a comprehensive training centre offering classes in street dance, acrobatics, musical theatre, gymnastics, ballet, jazz, cheerleading, aerial arts and more . The academy prides itself on being inclusive and supportive, catering to students of all ages and abilities, whether they aim for a professional career or participate for fun and fitness. With state-of-the-art facilities, including sprung floors and aerial rigs, and a team of passionate teachers, The Starlight Academy provides high-quality training that helps students build confidence, technique and performance skills . Students have the opportunity to perform in shows, compete in competitions and even audition for roles, fostering a well-rounded experience in the performing arts .

Alongside incredible dance, aerial, cheer and acro sessions, students will enjoy festive games, creative team challenges, and cosy downtime with delicious snacks and lunch provided each day.
